Sponsored by the CCCWS (China Center for Contemporary World Studies), the 3rd forum of SRTA was launched on February 24th in Beijing. Vice president Erhimbayar of our school attended the meeting.
Guo Yazhou, vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and director of the SRTA, said in his opening speech that the framework for International cooperation network of the SRTA had been initially taken shape, including more than 100 domestic and foreign think tanks.
In April 2015, SRTA was set up with the joint effort of International Department of the CPC Central Committee, DRC(Development Research Center of the State Council) ,CASS(Chinese Academy of Social Science), Fudan University and other units. The influence of SRTA is increasingly growing.
New council members, including IMU, were announced at the beginning of the conference. Jin Xin, director of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and secretary general of the SRTA, made an annual working report of the SRTA. Around the construction of think tanks, present delegates discussed how to enrich our experience and solve the main issues, how to promote the innovation of “The Belt and Road”, and how to strengthen people’s understanding about “The Belt and Road”. On behalf of our school, Vice president Erhimbayar made a speech called “Strengthen the Unity of Universities through Cultural exchanges”. His introduction about International cooperation and exchanges, and construction of think tanks in IMU aroused widespread attention among delegates.
