According to the “Double First-rate” program and “13th Five-Year Plan”, our school introduced the elites at home and abroad and enhanced the research strength to build a stable and powerful research team. With the commitment of all the school leaders and infinite support from the relevant departments is instrumental in introducing the Austria anthropology scholar Dr. Stephen Christer to the Research Center of Mongolian Studies.
On the morning of March 10th, the director Jakhadai Chimeddorji, on behalf of the Research Center of Mongolian Studies, signed the employment contract with Dr. Stephen Christer. Then Dr. Stephen Christer officially became a full-time assistant professor and a researcher of the Research Center of Mongolian Studies, which was the Key Research Institutes of Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education.
Dr. Stephen Christer will take his academic advantage to carry out his teaching and research in the area of discipline construction, scientific research and talent training. More specifically, he is responsible for collecting and sorting the foreign language materials and Mongolian travel notes of European scholars, constructing the Ethnology, enhancing the scientific research level and producing the research achievement with international influence. The work he does is also crucial in researching the Cross-border Mongolian in history and social culture and the Buryat Mongolian in history, culture, social change and other fields, teaching the master and doctoral students, helping the young scholars to improve their foreign language ability and providing the guidance in scientific research to the teachers of ethnology as much as possible.
